Julie W. Shifreen

Julie Wojick Shifreen, M.A., R.P.T., graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Physical Therapy, in 1981. Ms. Shifreen then went on to receive an M.A. in Clinical Neuroscience from the University of Hartford in 1988.

Ms. Shifreen has practiced physical therapy for 30 years. Ms. Shifreen has been employed at the Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical Center, in Hartford, Connecticut and also at Regional Physical Therapy, a private out patient physical therapy practice.

For the past 24 years Ms. Shifreen has worked with her husband, Steven C. Shifreen, M.D., a physician, specializing in the nonsurgical treatment of orthopedic injuries and chronic pain.

Ms. Shifreen has taken a significant number of Continuing Medical Education classes including a series of classes at the Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Ms. Shifreen’s primary area of interest is treatment of orthopedic somatic dysfunction using manual therapy techniques.
